Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced the appointment of Luanne Tierney as vice president, Global Partner Marketing. An industry catalyst, Tierney is joining Juniper from Cisco, where she served as vice president of Global Partner Marketing.

Tierney will lead the development of a comprehensive Juniper Partner Program, with a view toward creating a sustainable and operational model which can be accessed and utilized fluidly by Juniper's partners and the global partner marketing organization. She will report to Lauren Flaherty, executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

Most recently at Cisco, Tierney led Global Partner Marketing where she was responsible for leading strategic initiatives for over 13,000 partners, distributors, re-sellers and strategic partners. Tierney is known in the global marketing community as a thought leader in social media and integrated marketing.

Tierney has over 20 years of channel marketing experience. Prior to Cisco, she held positions at 3Com, Hewlett Packard, Apple Computer and First Deposit Corp.
