Affigent
and
ThunderCat Technology
to replace and modernize the
U.S. Air Force's
network infrastructure. Through respective alliances with prime contractors Affigent and ThunderCat Technology,
Juniper Networks
switching technology will be installed on
Air Force
bases to deliver a restructured and open infrastructure for the
Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) program
.
Juniper Networks
technology will streamline operations for the
Air Force
and support the core and critical access network layers at each base. This includes a technology refresh for the core, distribution, critical access nodes and network management, as well as training and support for the warfighter.
Juniper Networks
technology will support a total of 44 active duty
Air Force
bases worldwide for the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) program.
